Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Eric Hinske is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks with an injured hand. He will have surgery on Wednesday to repair a fractured hamate bone in his right hand. The Blue Jays placed Hinske on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 24. Last year's AL rookie of the year is hitting .232 with two homers and 21 RBI. In 2002, Hinske batted .279 and established franchise rookie records with 24 home runs, 84 RBI, 38 doubles, 99 runs and 77 walks. He also was successful on 13 of 14 stolen base attempts in his first year at the major league level. Meanwhile, the club recalled infielder Howie Clark from Triple-A Syracuse to fill the roster spot. Clark, along with Mike Bordick and Dave Berg, are expected to fill the void at third base.
