Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Cincinnati Reds have activated pitcher Jimmy Haynes off the 15-day disabled list. He had been sidelined since April 18 with a bulging disc in his back. Haynes is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against Atlanta. He has not pitched in the majors since April 17 against Chicago, when he was pounded for a career-high 10 runs on 10 hits in just 4 2/3 innings of a 16-3 loss. The righthander is 0-4 with a lofty 12.74 earned run average this season and became the first Cincinnati pitcher to lose his first four starts since Joey Jay began the 1963 campaign with five consecutive losses. Clarence Mitchell set the club record with losses in his first six starts in 1917. Haynes pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings of a rehab start this past Thursday for Triple-A Louisville. He threw 83 pitches and scattered three hits with a walk and six strikeouts. The Reds sent infielder Rainer Olmedo to Double-A Chattanooga to open a roster spot. Olmedo was recalled on Friday when Ryan Dempster went on the DL and was hitless in five at-bats in two games.
