St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - Pitcher Esteban Yan was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. Texas exchanged Yan, a righthander, and an undisclosed amount of cash for minor-league outfielder Rick Asadoorian. In 15 games out of the Rangers' bullpen this season, Yan went 0-1 with a 6.94 earned run average. In 23 innings he struck out 25 and walked seven. Yan, who spent the previous five seasons with Tampa Bay, agreed to a one-year contract with Texas. The eight-year veteran owns a 26-32 record with a 5.35 ERA. |
