New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Mets relief pitcher Mike Stanton has inflammation of the lining of his left knee. An MRI on Tuesday revealed the injury. Stanton, who underwent the procedure at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and NYU Medical Center, also received a cortisone shot. His status is day-to-day. A lefthander, Stanton is 2-3 with a 5.03 earned run average this season. In 19 2/3 innings, he has allowed 19 hits and 11 earned runs.
