Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - The Denver Nuggets waived veteran point guard Mark Jackson on Friday. Jackson was acquired by the Nuggets on a draft night trade with the New York Knicks. Along with Jackson, Denver received center Marcus Camby and the draft rights to Nene Hilario in exchange for forward Antonio McDyess, the draft rights to guard Frank Williams and a second round selection in 2003. Jackson, a 15-year NBA veteran, played in all 82 games last season for the Knicks and scored 8.4 points a game, while dishing out 7.4 assists. For his career, the 37-year-old Jackson has averaged 10.2 points, 8.4 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 1,172 games, playing for New York, Denver, Indiana, Toronto and the LA Clippers. He first spent time with the Nuggets during the 1996-97 season.
