New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Anaheim Angels third baseman Troy Glaus and Baltimore Orioles utilityman Melvin Mora were named American League Co-Players of the Week for the period ending Sunday, May 25. Glaus topped the majors in slugging percentage (1.350), on-base percentage (.640) and runs scored (9). In six games last week, he paced the AL with 27 total bases and tied for the league lead with four homers, four doubles and three stolen bases. Mora batted .536 and led the majors during the week with 15 hits in six games. He also belted a homer and drove in eight runs. Mora had a career-high 5-for-5 effort in a victory at Texas on Sunday. Other candidates for the award were Nomar Garciaparra and Derek Lowe of Boston, Detroit's Carlos Pena, Texas' Michael Young and Ugueth Urbina, Toronto's Cory Lidle, the White Sox's Bartolo Colon, Minnesota's Kyle Lohse and Oakland's Mark Mulder.
