Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - Larry Walker went 2-for-3 and knocked in four runs to help the Colorado Rockies snap the Los Angeles Dodgers' 10-game winning streak with a 7-3 win in the opener of a three-game series at Coors Field. Jay Payton added two hits and scored twice for the Rockies, who won their third straight game. Aaron Cook (2-4) tossed 6 1/3 solid innings, giving up only three runs and eight hits to earn the victory. Adrian Beltre went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI for the Dodgers, who had swept a three-game series against the Rockies last week. Dodgers starter Kazuhisa Ishii got off to a rough start, allowing the Rockies three hits, two walks and five runs in the first inning. Ron Belliard doubled to start the rally and scored when Payton followed with a two-base hit. Todd Helton walked and after Preston Wilson grounded into a fielder's choice, Walker tripled to bring in Payton and Helton. Walker later came home on Fred McGriff's error that allowed the Rockies to take a 5-0 lead. Ishii calmed down and allowed five runs -- three earned -- and eight hits in five innings of work. Ishii (4-2) picked up his first loss since his first start of the season. The Dodgers got back in the game with single runs in the second, fourth and sixth. Brian Jordan walked to start the second, advanced to second on a groundout and scored on Beltre's RBI single. Beltre also knocked a run-scoring single in the sixth to reduce the deficit to 5-2. Cesar Izturis added an RBI groundout in the sixth to make it a two-run game. Colorado added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh. With two outs and the bases empty, the Rockies loaded the bases on a double and a pair of walks. Walker then stroked a single up the middle to bring home the final two runs of the contest.
