Nashville, TN (My Sportsbook) - The Tennessee Titans are set to exercise their option on head coach Jeff Fisher's contract. The Tennessean, citing sources familiar with the situation, is reporting that the Titans are ready to pick up the option in the coming days and then enter into discussions with Fisher on a long-term deal after the season. Tennessee is also expected to exercise one-year options for offensive coordinator Norm Chow and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. Fisher is currently in his 12th full season as the Titans' mentor and has amassed a 110-96 record, the most wins in franchise history. Last season he became just the 34th coach in NFL history to record 100 wins. The Titans are currently 8-7 after starting the year a dismal 0-5. They have won six straight games heading into Sunday's regular season finale against the New England Patriots. Tennessee is also still alive in the playoff hunt, although the team is a longshot. The Titans would need to beat the Pats and hope for a Cincinnati loss or tie along with a Denver loss and a Kansas City win to reach the postseason party. The Titans have until Sunday to officially exercise Fisher's option.
