Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - The Kansas City Royals placed second baseman Carlos Febles and outfielder Dee Brown on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday. Febles, who has an injured ring finger on his left hand, is batting .245 with seven RBI in 40 games this season. Brown is suffering from an injured right wrist, and is hitting .242 with 10 RBI and two homers. Meanwhile, the club designated LHP Scott Mullen for assignment and purchased the contract of lefthander Rick DeHart from Triple-A Omaha. Kansas City also recalled outfielder Aaron Guiel and infielder Brent Abernathy from Omaha. Abernathy batted .308 in 29 games in Omaha with three home runs and 19 RBI. Guiel hit .279 with eight homers and 30 RBI in 52 games. The Royals opened the season with a 16-3 record but have recorded a 10-20 mark over their last 30 games.
