Calgary, Alberta (My Sportsbook) - The Calgary Flames locked up a pair of restricted free agent right wingers on Wednesday, inking Shean Donovan and Chris Clark to contracts. "Shean and Chris are important signings for us as it solidifies our right side, locking up three of the four players at the right wing position under contract," said Flames General Manager and Head Coach Darryl Sutter. "In addition, the 26 to 29 year old age group is the most important on your club as this group should make up the nucleus of players in building our identity." Donovan, a nine-year veteran, posted 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) and 37 penalty minutes in 65 games last season. The 6'2", 205-pounder signed a three- year deal. He was acquired by the Flames at the March trade deadline from Pittsburgh for forward Mathias Johansson and defenseman Micki DuPont. Clark put up a career-high 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) and 126 penalty minutes in 81 games in the 2002-2003 campaign. The fourth-year player was tied for second on the team in penalty minutes.
