Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - Cincinnati Bengals linebacker David Pollack had successful follow-up surgery to repair a neck fracture suffered earlier this season. An examination in mid-December confirmed he needed more surgery from the injury suffered on September 17 when he made a hit on Cleveland running back Reuben Droughns. According to spine specialist Dr. Anthony Guanciale, who performed the procedure, Pollack is resting comfortably and is not expected to remain in the hospital more than a few days. Pollack suffered no paralysis from the injury and was able to resume normal activities outside of football, although he continued to wear a neck immobilization device. Currently on the Bengals' injured reserve list, no timetable for Pollacks return has been formulated.
