New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison, New England Patriots defensive end Ty Warren and New York Jets kicker Mike Nugent took home Player of the Month honors for December. Harrison saved his best for the final month of the regular season, hauling in 34 receptions for 545 yards and seven touchdowns in five games. He posted at least one TD in four of those five contests, and reached the 100-yard mark three times last month. His best performance came on December 18 versus the Bengals, when Harrison scored three touchdowns. He finished the season as the league's third-leading receiver (95 catches) and second in receiving yards (1,366). Warren, meanwhile, racked up 43 tackles and a team-best four sacks in December to capture the defensive honors. The four-year veteran notched 10-plus tackles in three of the five games he played in last month, including a 10-tackle, two-sack performance against Detroit on December 3. Behind the play of Warren, the Patriots went 4-1 in December to lock up the AFC East. Nugent was a perfect 12-for-12 on his field goal attempts last month to take home the special teams award. His 30-yard game-winner against Miami in Week 16 helped the surprise Jets finish with a 10-6 record, good enough for a postseason berth.
