Last night, Ricky Ledee and Bobby Abreu each belted three-run homers for the Phillies. Jim Thome, Jimmy Rollins and Placido Polanco also homered for the Phillies, who won for only the second time in their last seven games. Vicente Padilla (4-6) picked up the win after allowing one run on three hits in seven innings of work. Padilla struck out one and walked a career-high six batters. The righthander, who had been 0-5 in his previous six starts, notched his first victory since April 19. The Phillies will send ace Kevin Millwood to the mound this evening. Millwood has been extremely dominant for the Phillies, posting a 7-1 record. The 28- year-old righthander is 3-0 in his five starts this month. In his last outing, Millwood was victorious, pitching seven innings and allowing two runs on six hits against Montreal at Olympic Stadium. Millwood has posted a 5-3 record and an ERA of 3.51 in 13 career outings against the Mets. Thome has a seven-game hitting streak. In those contests, Thome has compiled nine hits, two home runs and five RBI in 27 at-bats.
