Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - Phoenix Suns guard Stephon Marbury underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on both ankles Thursday. The All-Star guard had bone spurs removed from each ankle during the procedure, which was performed by Dr. William Hamilton in New York. Marbury underwent similar surgeries on his ankles last May. Marbury played in 81 games this past season and led the club in scoring by averaging 22.3 points per contest. He also averaged a team-high 8.1 assists per game. The seven-year veteran has averaged 20.5 points and 8.2 assists per contest during his career, which also includes stints with Minnesota and New Jersey.
