Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning signed 2001 draft pick Jean-Francois Soucy on Friday to a three-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released. Soucy, who was picked in the eighth round of the 2001 NHL entry draft, competed in just one pre-season game with Tampa Bay last season. He recorded a hat trick in an 8-1 win against Atlanta on September 20. Last season, he played in 65 games with Montreal of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, setting career-highs with 24 goals, 31 assists, 55 points and 168 penalty minutes. |
