St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Fernando Vina underwent surgery Friday to repair a torn right hamstring tendon. Vina was injured during an 8-7 setback to Pittsburgh on May 25 and will likely be sidelined for a minimum of six weeks. The St. Louis leadoff hitter, who was batting .262 with four homers and 19 RBI prior to the injury, chose to have the surgery rather than a longer rehabilitation process.
