San Diego, CA (My Sportsbook) - Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Curt Schilling left Friday's game with a hand injury, but earned his fourth win of the season in the process. Schilling (4-3) took a line drive off his right hand in the seventh inning courtesy of Padres third baseman Sean Burroughs. He tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts as the Diamondbacks beat the Padres 8-3. Manager Bob Brenly and an Arizona trainer went to the mound and Schilling left the game. The hard-throwing righthander had thrown just 64 pitches, 50 for strikes. Schilling has won seven of his eight decisions against San Diego.
