=== Minnesota Twins Team Report - May 31 === (My Sportsbook) - The Minnesota Twins look to snap their two-game losing streak and return to winning form as they face the Seattle Mariners in game three of a four-game set at the Metrodome. The Al Central-leading Twins had won four straight before dropping a 10-6 decision in Thursday's opener. Minnesota, which has lost two straight for the first time since April 26-27, was shut out for just the second time this season. The Twins fell 6-0 in game two of the series when Joel Pineiro pitched a four- hit shutout for the Mariners. Kyle Lohse (4-4) pitched well in defeat, allowing just three runs on eight hits in eight innings with one walk and three strikeouts. Veteran pitcher Rick Reed will take the mound for Minnesota today in game three of the set. The righthander has won two of his last three starts including a victory over Seattle on Sunday. Reed pitched seven innings and gave up just one run on five hits with no walks and one strikeout. Reed is 3-2 lifetime against the Mariners with a paltry 1.82 ERA and 20 strikeouts while giving up just three walks. The Mariners are 22-6 against the Central this season, while the Twins have posted a 6-4 mark against their opponents from the West. Jacque Jones has had a successful offensive year thus far for the Twins as his .337 batting average places him fourth in the American League. Minnesota took two of three from the AL West-leading Mariners last weekend and is 7-7 against Seattle in the last 14 matchups. Seattle, though, has posted a 12-5 mark in Minnesota since the start of 2000.
