=== New York Mets Team Report - May 31 === (My Sportsbook) - The New York Mets play the Atlanta Braves today in the middle contest of a three-game series at Shea Stadium. Last night, the Mets lost 5-2 as Tom Glavine was beaten by Greg Maddux in a matchup of former NL Cy Young Award winners. Ty Wigginton finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for New York, which lost for the fourth time in six games. John Franco, activated from the disabled list earlier in the day after recovering from reconstructive elbow surgery, threw one inning out of the bullpen for New York and gave up two hits. The appearance was his first in the majors since 2001. Jae Seo will pitch today for the Mets. The 26-year-old righthander hasn't won since April 27, a span of seven outings (0-1). However, he has allowed just one run in each of his last two appearances. In his most recent start, last Sunday at Atlanta, Seo surrendered just three hits over seven innings in a no- decision. That marked his first career outing against the Braves. The Mets, who are 13-12 at home this season, are tied with Florida for last in the division, 13 games in back of the Braves.
