Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Roy Oswalt, activated from the 15-day disabled list Saturday, pitched seven shutout innings in a start for Houston. Oswalt permitted five hits and struck out eight, but didn't figure in a 1-0 loss in 16 innings to the Chicago Cubs. Oswalt had been on the DL since May 16 after straining his groin while running out a double in a May 15th victory over Pittsburgh. He earned the win in that contest, allowing just two runs on seven hits in six innings. In 10 starts this season, Oswalt is 3-4 and holds a career record of 36-16. To make room for Oswalt, the Astros optioned righthander Brandon Puffer, who posted an ERA of 4.95 in 11 games of relief, to Triple-A New Orleans. Oswalt won all four decisions versus the Cubs last season, posting a 3.48 ERA in five starts.
