=== Toronto Blue Jays Team Report - June 1 === (My Sportsbook) - The Toronto Blue Jays will try to complete a three-game sweep of the Boston Red Sox today at SkyDome. After starting the season with a 10-18 record through April, Toronto set a franchise-record for most wins in a month with 21 and ended May with a sterling 21-8 mark. The Blue Jays went 20-7 in September 1988 and 20-9 in August 1989. Toronto now sit two games back of the first place Yankees. The Blue Jays, who are winners of eight of their last 10 games, will send Roy Halladay to the mound today. After starting the season with two straight loses, the 26-year-old has won six straight starts. In his last outing, Halladay pitched a complete game gem against the White Sox at SkyDome on Tuesday. In that outing, the righthander scattered seven hits while allowing one run and striking out seven batters. In his career against the Red Sox, Halladay is 2-3 in nine outings with an ERA of 4.83. Yesterday, Dave Berg went 2-for-4 with a homer and tied a career-high with four runs batted in, as the Blue Jays finished off their best month in club history with a 10-7 victory. Tanyon Sturtze (5-4) retired the only batter he faced for the win and Cliff Politte tossed a scoreless ninth for his ninth save of the season. Tom Wilson had three hits and three runs scored and Mike Bordick hit a two-run homer for Toronto, which pounded out 10 hits and scored in double figures for the second time in as many games. Toronto crushed Boston 13-2 in the opener of the series on Friday. Toronto will try to sweep a home series from Boston for the first time since June 23-25, 2000.
