=== San Francisco Giants Team Report - June 1 === (My Sportsbook) - The San Francisco Giants attempt to stay unbeaten on their current homestand as they play the Colorado Rockies this afternoon in the third contest of a four-game series at Pac Bell Park. The Giants are 4-0 during their 12-game home stretch at home and are 3 1/2 games ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. Last night, Jesse Foppert pitched seven innings of one-run ball and slapped an RBI triple to lead the Giants to a 2-1 win. Ray Durham finished with two hits and an RBI for the Giants. San Francisco improved to 17-6 against division opponents, including 9-1 at home. Kirk Rueter will make a trip to the mound today for the Giants. He is 3-0 over his last five starts and hasn't lost since April 29 against the Chicago Cubs at Pac Bell Park. The lefthander is tied with Jack Sanford (89) for fifth on San Francisco's victory list, and needs one win to match Jim Barr (90) for fourth. Rueter though will try to rebound from a horrible outing against Colorado on Monday, when he surrendered 10 hits and six runs in 4 1/3 innings. Rueter was fortunate not to get a decision, as the Rockies scored six times in the fifth inning on the way to a 12-7 triumph. Rueter has enjoyed success in June, logging 20-6 lifetime mark. He has posted a 9-8 lifetime mark with a 5.55 ERA versus Colorado. However, he hasn't beaten the Rockies since September 8, 2001, going 0-2 in five starts since. The Giants are 19-8 against Colorado at home since the start of the 2000 season. Barry Bonds is three steals short of becoming the first major leaguer to hit 500 homers and steal 500 bases.
