Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - The Detroit Tigers placed outfielder Eugene Kingsale on the 15-day disabled list with a pulled groin muscle. The move is retroactive to June 9. Kingsale left Sunday's 7-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants in the ninth inning. He went 0-for-3 with a pair of sacrifice flies before leaving the contest with the injury. The 26-year-old Kingsale is hitting .208 with eight RBI and 11 runs scored in 39 games this season. To take Kingsale's place on the active roster, Detroit purchased the contract of outfielder Ernie Young.
