=== Baltimore Orioles Team Report - June 11 === (My Sportsbook) - The Orioles are probably begging for a return to American League action, considering they have posted just one win in seven games versus the National League. Baltimore can't seem to get things going and that was proven again on Tuesday in its 4-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Camden Yards. Pat Hentgen (1-4) took the loss on Tuesday and has dropped his last four starts. He allowed four runs and 10 hits over seven innings. He also fanned six batters and walked just one. Luis Matos had three hits, while Melvin Mora extended his hitting streak to 21 games in a losing effort. Baltimore has dropped two in a row and six of its last seven games. Matos has a 15-game hitting streak. Mora has batted .464 (39-for-84) during his hitting streak. Baltimore will hand the ball to 31-year-old lefthander Omar Daal this evening. Daal has lost three of his last five decisions, including a ugly defeat to Houston last week. The southpaw was hammered for seven hits and four runs over two innings, while walking one in the loss. Daal has tallied a 3-2 record with a 4.18 ERA in his career versus the Cubs. He has surrendered 47 hits and 26 earned runs over seven contests against Chicago. First-round pick Nick Markakis is expected to ink a deal Wednesday and work out with the club before the game against the Cubs. Markakis is an outfielder/pitcher from Young Harris College in Georgia.
