The Giants lost last night 5-3. Barry Bonds hit a two-run homer in the losing effort. J.T. Snow knocked in the other run for the Giants, who had their three-game win streak halted as they started a 12-game road trip. Righthander Jesse Foppert will start tonight's game for the Giants. He is 1-3 over his last five starts and is coming off a loss Thursday against Minnesota, when he allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings. Foppert is 1-3 in five road starts. Bonds is two steals short of becoming the first major leaguer to hit 500 homers and steal 500 bases. San Francisco second baseman Ray Durham has a 12-game hitting streak.
