=== New York Mets Team Report - June 12 === (My Sportsbook) - Cliff Floyd finished 3-for-5 with a home run and five runs batted in to lead the New York Mets to an 8-2 victory over the Texas Rangers in the second of a three-game interleague set at the Ballpark Wednesday. Timo Perez and Roger Cedeno each scored twice in the contest for New York, which snapped a three-game skid and won for just the second time in seven games. Tony Clark added a homer in the win. Jae Weong Seo (4-2) won his third straight start, tossing seven solid innings. He gave up just two runs on eight hits while striking out six and walking only one. Seo has now allowed three earned runs or less in 11 of his last 12 starts. New York outfielder Jeromy Burnitz snapped a career-high 23 at-bat hitless streak on Wednesday. Al Leiter takes the hill for the Mets tonight pitching on just three days' rest. Leiter lasted only two innings in a defeat to Seattle Sunday, allowing him to be available for duty Thursday. He was hammered for eight runs on nine hits in one of his worst performances of the year, while walking three and striking out two. The loss snapped a personal two-game winning streak for the lefthander. Leiter has had trouble against Texas in his career, posting just a 1-6 record with a 4.60 ERA in nine appearances -- seven starts.
