Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - Former Pittsburgh Penguin left wing Kevin Stevens, who left the team last season, will return to the club as a radio analyst. The 37-year-old Stevens will work behind the mic in six preseason and five regular-season games alongside Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Lange. Stevens voluntarily left the team on January 10, of last season before a game in Buffalo, and never rejoined the team. Stevens was frequently a healthy scratch in the weeks leading up to his departure due to an undisclosed problem, in which he sought counseling for. Two years ago, Stevens was required to go through the NHL's substance abuse program after being arrested on a crack cocaine possession charge. Stevens was a member of both Penguins' Stanley Cup Championship teams in 1991 and 1992 and is sixth all-time in club history with 550 points. The winger's best year came during the 1991-92 campaign when he tallied 54 goals and 69 assists for 123 points. Overall, in 874 NHL games, Stevens has 329 goals and 397 assists for 726 points. He has also played with Boston, Los Angeles, the New York Rangers and Philadelphia.
