Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Miguel Asencio underwent surgery on Thursday to remove a bone chip from his right elbow. Asencio, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list almost a month ago, has a 2-1 record with a 5.21 ERA in eight starts this season. According to Royals trainer Nick Swartz, the righthander will most likely return to the majors by September 1. |
