=== Atlanta Braves Team Report - June 13 === (My Sportsbook) - The teams with the best records in the majors square off tonight at Safeco Field, as the Seattle Mariners host the Braves. Atlanta, which is atop the National League East, has won seven of its last eight games and comes into Seattle after taking two of three in Oakland. Atlanta beat the A's 4-2 yesterday and have taken 13 of their last 14 interleague games. Gary Sheffield and Andruw Jones each belted solo homers to lead Atlanta to yesterday's win. Shane Reynolds pitched 6 2/3 innings to earn the win for the Braves, who won the last two games of the series with the A's. Russ Ortiz will toe the rubber tonight for the Braves, as he makes his 15th start of the season. Ortiz has just one defeat in his last 11 outings (6-1). In his most recent appearance, Sunday against Pittsburgh, Ortiz allowed five hits and four runs over five innings in a no-decision. The righthander is 2-1 in five road starts this year and is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in two lifetime appearances against the Mariners. This will mark the first ever regular season meeting between the Braves and Mariners.
