Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cincinnati Reds activated veteran shortstop Barry Larkin from the 15-day disabled list on Friday and he started the team's 15-1 pounding of the Philadelphia Phillies. Larkin ended 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the victory. The 39-year old former National League MVP was put on the disabled list on May 22 after he was bothered by a strained right calf. Larkin was also previously on the DL from April 14 through May 5 with a strained left calf. Larkin, the major league's longest-tenured player with one team, is batting .276 with one homer and five RBI in 19 games this season. In a related move, the Reds placed righthanded pitcher John Riedling on the 15-day disabled list with tendinitis in his right elbow. Riedling is 0-3 with a 6.38 ERA and one save in 21 appearances, including eight starts, this season. Cincinnati also signed its first two draft picks, Ryan Wagner and Thomas Pauly, on Friday.
