NEW YORK (AP) -Dr. Elliott Pellman, the longtime chairman of the NFL's committee on concussions, has resigned from the post. Pellman, the head physician for the New York Jets, will be replaced Dr Ira Casson of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Dr. David Viano of Wayne State University. Pellman had suggested that new co-chairmen unaffiliated with teams be named to the position. He will remain on the committee along a group of other non-NFL doctors and doctors from the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs, and the head trainers from the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.
