Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - The Chicago Cubs recalled righthanded pitcher Francis Beltran from Triple-A Iowa on Sunday and optioned outfielder David Kelton to the Pacific Coast League Central Division cellar dwellers. Beltran pitched in 11 relief appearances for Chicago in 2002, posting no record while giving up 10 earned runs in 12 innings. The 23-year-old picked up four saves and went 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA in 26 games -- two starts -- for Iowa this season. Kelton was recalled from Iowa on June 9, taking the roster spot of first baseman Hee Seop Choi, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list after suffering a concussion in a collision with pitcher Kerry Wood. Kelton appeared in just three games for the Cubs, with two hits in eight at-bats. He also scored a run and picked up an RBI.
