Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Kansas City Royals second baseman Carlos Febles was activated off the disabled list prior to Sunday's 5-4 comeback victory over the San Francisco Giants. Febles, who was placed on the disabled list May 28 with an injured left ring finger, was batting .245 with seven RBI in 40 games this season. To make room for Febles, the Royals placed infielder Mendy Lopez (right calf strain) on the 15-day DL. Also, right-handed pitcher Nate Field was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday to make room for starting pitcher Jose Lima, whose contract was purchased from Omaha to make Sunday's start against the Giants. To make room for Lima on the 40-man roster, right-handed starting pitcher Miguel Asencio, who recently had elbow surgery, was transferred to the 60-day disabled list.
