Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - The Kansas City Royals activated relief pitcher Albie Lopez from the 15-day disabled list Monday. The 31-year-old Lopez was placed on the DL on May 18 with a strained right groin. Prior to his injury, Lopez had a record of 4-2 with a 9.90 ERA in 20 innings of work. To make room for Lopez on the roster, the Royals optioned left-handed pitcher Les Walrond to Triple-A Omaha. Walrond appeared in three games with the big club with an 0-1 record and a 7.71 ERA. |
