=== Anaheim Angels Team Report - June 17 === (My Sportsbook) - The Anaheim Angels will try and put the brakes on a two- game losing streak tonight when they continue their four-game set against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. After getting one-hit by the New York Mets on Sunday, Anaheim fell, 6-3, in the series opener to the Mariners last night. Garret Anderson collected two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Angels, who have dropped three of their last four. Anaheim mustered just five hits in the setback. John Lackey (4-6) fell to 1-4 in his last eight road starts after allowing four runs in six innings. The 24-year-old righty also surrendered eight hits and one walk, while striking out four. Lackey also gave up two homers and has already allowed 15 long balls in 85 2/3 innings this year, compared to 10 in 108 1/3 frames last season. Anaheim will pin its hopes on Kevin Appier, who has not posted a win in his last two starts after a six-start unbeaten streak. Appier, 4-3 on the year with a 4.65 ERA, yielded two runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings to the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, but did not factor in his team's 5-3 win. Appier is 16-7 - his most wins against any opponent with a 3.22 ERA in 30 starts against Seattle. Seattle, which is 21-14 at home this season, is 29-16 against the Angels since the start of the 2001 season. Anaheim, meanwhile has posted a 16-18 mark away from home.
