=== New York Mets Team Report - June 17 === (My Sportsbook) - The New York Mets will try to bounce back offensively tonight, as they resume a four-game series against the Florida Marlins at Pro Player Stadium. The Mets were one-hit by rookie Dontrelle Willis last night in a 1-0 defeat in the series opener. Ty Wigginton had the only New York hit, a single in the fourth inning. The hole grew deeper for the last-place Mets, who are now 1 1/2 games behind the fourth-place Marlins in the NL East. New York lost for just the second time in its last six games. Art Howe's team will try to get back on the winning track tonight with Korean Jae Seo on the mound. The 26-year-old righthander has won his last three starts and has been a bright spot for the Mets. He hasn't lost in his last eight starts (3-0). His last defeat came April 27 against Arizona. In his most recent outing, Wednesday at Texas, Seo allowed eight hits and two runs over seven innings. He has thrown at least seven innings in four consecutive starts and hasn't allowed more than two runs in his last five outings. This will be his first career appearance versus Florida. New York starter Tom Glavine was the hard-luck loser last night. Glavine (5-7) allowed just one run and four hits in seven innings. The lefthander struck out four and walked three. The Mets, who are 15-21 on the road this season, are 4-3 on a current 10-game swing. Mets outfielder Jeromy Burnitz is four hits shy of 1,000 for his career.
