=== San Diego Padres Team Report - June 17 === (My Sportsbook) - The San Diego Padres try for their third straight victory tonight as they play the Colorado Rockies in the second contest of a four-game series at Coors Field. San Diego won 7-5 last night, as Mark Loretta belted a three-run homer in the ninth inning to lift the Padres to the win. The Padres, who earned a 1-0 win against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, have won back-to-back games for the first time since taking three straight from April 23-25. Jake Peavy will head to the mound this evening for San Diego. The righthander broke an eight-start winless string (0-4) with a victory on Thursday against the Cleveland Indians. In that game at Jacobs Field, Peavy allowed six hits and three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Peavy is 1-2 in three career games against the Rockies. He faced Colorado once this year. On April 20, he was on the losing end of an 8-0 score at Coors Field. In that game, Peavy surrendered six hits and six runs over six innings. San Diego moved to 10-25 on the road this year, which is tied with Colorado for the worst in the majors. Loretta has a 10-game hitting streak, during which time he has gone 22-for-43 with 12 RBI. He is hitting .443 (27-for-61) this month
