Ashburn, VA (My Sportsbook) - The Washington Redskins released oft-injured wide receiver David Patten on Thursday. After signing with the Redskins as a free agent in 2005, Patten has been hampered by nagging injuries. In 2005, he sustained a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve after playing nine games. He had 22 catches for 217 yards before being placed on IR. Last year, Patten battled a hamstring injury and had just one reception for 25 yards, after being inactive for most of the season. Patten, a 10-year veteran, has hauled in 259 passes for 3,761 yards and 20 touchdowns with the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots and Redskins.
