Oakland, CA (My Sportsbook) - Texas Rangers infielder Herbert Perry had an operation on Wednesday to fix a frayed rotator cuff and labrum in his right shoulder and remove a badly bruised bursa sac. The surgery will end Perry's season, leaving him with a .167 batting average and two RBI in 24 at-bats this year. Perry was placed on the 15-day disabled list on May 30th with what was thought to be tendinitis. Perry, who also plans to have surgery on both knees once his shoulder is strong enough to use crutches, should be ready to return by spring training next year.
