Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Minnesota Twins pitcher Rick Reed has been activated off the 15-day disabled list and is set to start Wednesday's game against Kansas city. Reed had been on the disabled list since June 4 with a lower back sprain and hasn't pitched since May 31 against the Seattle Mariners. The righthander is just 3-6 with a 4.37 earned run average in 10 starts this season. Johan Santana had taken Reed's spot in the rotation and the Minnesota bullpen then struggled, particularly recently. The Twins have allowed 44 runs in their last four games -- all losses. Minnesota opened a roster spot by sending righthander Tony Fiore to Triple-A Rochester. Fiore was 1-1 with a 5.50 ERA.
