Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Chicago Bulls guard Jay Williams may need more surgeries after crashing his motorcycle on Thursday, raising speculation about his future in the NBA. The Duke product, who just finished his first season in the NBA, is still hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Williams had surgery at Illinois Masonic Medical Center to repair nerve damage in his pelvic area after the accident, but the Chicago Tribune, citing a team source, is reporting that Williams could require several more surgeries, including a reconstructive procedure on his left knee. The one-vehicle accident occurred when Williams was riding his new red and white Yamaha that still had a temporary license plate with a friend on Chicago's North Side on Thursday. He apparently lost control and crashed into a pole. The 21-year-old Williams was the second overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft and averaged 9.5 points and 4.7 assists in his rookie campaign.
