Nashville, TN (My Sportsbook) - The Carolina Hurricanes traded defensemen David Tanabe and Igor Knyazev to the Phoenix Coyotes for blueliner Danny Markov and a third or fourth round draft pick in 2004 or 2005. Markov, 26, scored four goals and assisted on 16 others in 64 games for Phoenix last season. He played four seasons for Toronto before being traded to the Coyotes prior to the 2001-02 season. Knyazev was the Hurricanes' first pick in 2001, while Tanabe was taken by Carolina in the first round of the 1999 draft. |
