Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - The Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Shannon Stewart Monday from the 15-day disabled list and started him in Monday night's 13-4 win over Baltimore. Stewart had missed the last 20 contests with a hamstring injury. Stewart homered in his first at-bat since being activated off the DL and led off the game with a home run for the 14th time in his career. He finished the night going 3-for-6 with two runs scored. Prior to being placed on the DL in late May, Stewart was batting .300 with three homers and 25 RBI in 51 games this season. Meanwhile, the club optioned outfielder Jayson Werth to Triple-A Syracuse. In other news, the Blue Jays sent outfielder Jason Perry to Oakland as the player to be named later in a January trade with the Athletics. Toronto acquired outfielder John-Ford Griffin in the deal.
