Nashville, TN (My Sportsbook) - Quarterback Neil O'Donnell, cut four months ago by the Tennessee Titans in a salary cap move, returned to the team on Tuesday, signing a two-year contract. "He's proven that he can come in and play, backup and do those things," Titans coach Jeff Fisher said. "He's good for a club, great for the clubhouse. We stayed in touch and kept reassuring him that at some point we would be able to get things done and in a position to work things out." O'Donnell finalized his deal with Titans' management after Tennessee cleared salary cap room by releasing middle linebacker Randall Godfrey last week. O'Donnell, who turns 37 in July, will enter his fifth season with the Titans and his 14th NFL season overall. He has started just seven games for the Titans in four years, thanks to the toughness of incumbent starter Steve McNair. He was drafted by Pittsburgh in 1990 and led the Steelers to Super Bowl XXX after the 1995 season, his last with the team. He also spent time with the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals.
