=== Arizona Diamondbacks Team Report - June 25 === (My Sportsbook) - Searching for their second consecutive series sweep and their eighth win in a row, the Diamondbacks close out their three-game set with the Houston Astros tonight at BankOne Ballpark. Arizona's current seven-game winning streak has pulled it within six games of first place San Francisco in the NL West. The Diamondbacks are only four contests behind second place Los Angeles. On Tuesday, the Diamondbacks continued their hot streak with a 12-5 victory over the Astros. David Dellucci and Tony Womack both went 4-for-5 with a run batted in and two runs scored in the winning effort. Mark Grace snapped an 0-for-20 slide with his eighth-inning single. Alex Cintron homered and drove in three runs for the Diamondbacks, who won their seventh straight contest. Steve Finley added two hits, an RBI and a run scored in the victory, while Matt Kata drilled a three-run homer. Miguel Batista (6-3) won his third consecutive start. The righthander tossed six innings and gave up four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. Heading to the hill for the Diamondbacks today will be 22-year-old Elmer Dessens. The Dominican hasn't tallied a decision in his last five starts, including his start against Cincinnati last week. Dessens allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, while fanning four in the no-decision. Dessens will be facing the Astros for the first time this season. In his career, Dessens is 2-3 with a 4.91 ERA in seven career outings versus Houston.
