Kirkland, WA (My Sportsbook) - The Seattle Seahawks announced on Wednesday that have named Tod Leiweke their new chief executive officer. "Tod brings solid executive leadership skills, a fresh and strategic business perspective, and top-notch sports marketing and facility management experience to his position with the Seahawks," said Seahawks owner Paul Allen. "I look forward to working with him as we take the Seahawks - as a team and as a business - to the next level of performance." Leiweke, president and chief operating officer of the NHL's Minnesota Wild, will begin his transition into the position of CEO of the Seattle Seahawks right away, and is expected to begin full-time responsibilities at the end of July. As CEO, Leiweke will assume responsibility for all business operations, sales and marketing, sponsorship, administration and operations functions of the franchise. "I'm excited to join the Seahawks and look forward to the opportunities and challenges the business offers," said Leiweke. "My family and I have a long standing connection to the Pacific Northwest and I know Seattle as not only a beautiful city but as a place where people care about their community and are passionate about the Seahawks."
