Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - Toronto Raptors forward Lamond Murray underwent surgery Monday to repair a ligament tear in his right midfoot. Foot and ankle specialist Dr. Ned Amendola performed the procedure at the University of Iowa. Murray, who is expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks, suffered the injury during the first quarter of an October 18 preseason contest versus New Jersey. He averaged 7.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in five exhibition contests. The Raptors acquired Murray and a second-round draft pick from Cleveland on September 25 in exchange for Michael Stewart and a first-round draft pick. Last week, the club signed free agent guard Voshon Lenard to replace Murray.
