=== Anaheim Angels Team Report - June 26 === (My Sportsbook) - David Eckstein went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI double to help the Anaheim Angels post a 6-3 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. Garret Anderson added three hits and Shawn Wooten homered for the Angels, who bounced back from a 6-4 loss in Tuesday's series opener to win for just the third time in 10 games. Ramon Ortiz (9-5) won his fifth straight start for Anaheim. He gave up three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Troy Percival closed it out for his 13th save. Anaheim sends ace lefthander Jarrod Washburn to the hill Thursday in the series finale. Washburn has been in a tailspin as of late, dropping his last three starts. The lefty was tagged for eight hits and five runs over five innings in his last start against LA Friday, while fanning two and not walking anyone. Washburn is 1-0 with a 2.51 ERA in two contests against the Mariners this season. For his career, Washburn is 6-4 with a 4.23 ERA versus Seattle. |
