Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Chicago Cubs pitcher Kyle Farnsworth will begin serving a two-game suspension Thursday for a brawl with Cincinnati's Paul Wilson last week. Farnsworth was originally suspended for three games Wednesday, but had it shortended without a formal appeal. The pitcher will miss the final game of the Cubs' three-game series against Milwaukee and Friday's meeting with the Chicago White Sox. Wilson, who was suspended for five games, plans to appeal. The two fought during a game last Thursday at Great American Ball Park. Farnsworth threw a pitch behind Wilson, who squared to bunt. After words were exchanged, Wilson moved towards the mound. Farnsworth then ran towards the plate and tackled Wilson, who ended up with blood all over his jersey. In 35 games this season, Farnsworth is 2-0 with a 2.52 earned run average.
