Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cincinnati Bengals agreed to terms on a one-year contract with veteran linebacker Ed Hartwell on Friday, the club announced. Hartwell has appeared in 77 career games, logging 400 total tackles and seven sacks. He notched 142 tackles in 2002 for Baltimore, which drafted him the previous year in the fourth round out of Western Illinois. The 6-foot-1, 250-pound linebacker signed with the Atlanta Falcons prior to the 2005 season. He was limited to five games in 2005 after an Achilles injury, and only appeared in eight games in 2006 after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on both knees in September. The Falcons released Hartwell on March 2.
